Hello everyone,

as many of you may know, Alfa has released long time ago a note regarding the steering wheel Oil, that has to be changed  from RED to GREEN oil in all motorization, from 1.9 to 3.2 , and in some cases has to be changed also the oil tank.

I know many guys in Italy have solved the problem with great results, but here in Latvia i changed it twice, putting the green one, and i hear a very loud noise when turning the steering wheel if I'm holding position.

I have a 2.4 SW Alfa 159. If anyone can help i will be glad.

To eliminate sound you have to change oil tank as well. Worn out steering pump or leakage in steering system also could cause very loud noise. So maybe it's time to visit some local Alfa specialist?

Yes i better drive to Riga and do it for once finally.
Where do you suggest me to take it? I have to do some other jobs as well.

Try to visit Autobrava, or any Alfa Romeo/Fiat dealer to ask for a factory recall. It should be completely for free. Especially early 159 were affected, mine got new steering pump/fluid/oil tank for free

bet maiņa ir visām 159 vai tikai kadiem gada izlaidumiem.?
